We are an agricultural cooperative from east Serbia. We grow and distill lemon balm and other powerful plants.
We enjoy doing it.
I sowed the first lemon balm seeds in 2017. year at grandmother Mila’s in the greenhouse where she grew vegetables. After the first produced seedlings, with the help of the family we planted the first 20 areas.
Meli Plants is located in the village of Grezna near Knjaževac on the road to Sokobanja. Plantations of ZZ Meli are spread all over eastern Serbia from the Danube to Stara Planina in the municipalities of Negotin (village Malajnica), Zaječar (villages Veliki Jasenovac, Mali Izvor, Salaš), Bor (villages Gornjane, Zlot), Knjaževac (villages Sastavak, Grezna), Pirot (Gostuša village).
The cooperative is closely specialized in the cultivation and processing of medicinal and aromatic plants. Primary agricultural production starts from seeds through seedlings, picking, planting in the open field, cultivation, care, care, mowing. The second phase, more precisely the processing of medicinal herbs, involves extractions (distillation, alcohol extraction-tincture) but also drying of the above-ground part of the plant or roots to obtain teas.
We are Dejan, Vladimir, Daniel, Stefan, Marko, Mihajlo. Although we are from different cities and even more different professions, we gathered around the idea of growing and processing medicinal plants, but above all because of the preservation of our heritage.
